An Tua Nua

Atmosphere – At An Tua Nua Boston, there is plenty of open space for dancing, a large bar and other standing room bars to rest your drink on or lean on which is convenient so you’re not in the way of people at the bar but you still have somewhere to rest your drink. There is a good amount of seating inside An Tua Nua, a bunch of flat screen TVs, and Irish Pub decor all over the inside of the venue.

My Opinion – An Tua Nua is a good college drinking bar. The drinks are inexpensive and it is conveniently located near Fenway Park and many nearby colleges. It has a friendly atmosphere and is a good place to meet other people and on certain nights becomes packed with 20-somethings. If you are looking for a specific night of the week to check out An Tua Nua, I would say try a Thursday night because that’s probably their busiest night. They have different stuff going on every night of the week too so any night is a good night to check out An Tua Nua.

A big dance floor in the back on fridays and saturdays with decently priced drinks. On mondays it transforms into this crazy Goth night which was probably one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had at a bar watching people in black leather dance as individuals for hours on end while chains hung from the ceiling with homemade techno blasting from the speakers.

Came here on a Thursday night after speaking with one of my good BU buddies. He was raving about how inexpensive great time it was. Certianly as advertised, $3 cover and $ 1 Miller Light drafts is just a great combination for a fantastic time. They played a lot of Top 40 dance music and the floor was packed. As long as you don’t mind having an occassional drink spilled on you, you’ll definitely have fun!

I came here on a Saturday and thought that it was empty, until I realized that all the dancing and fun to be had was located in the other room. The music was pretty good and I had a lot of fun dancing.

Uber-Typical college pub. Cheap drinks, scuzzy everything. Can be fun though, just not on a Thursday.
