Eastern Standard Boston

Atmosphere – Part of the Hotel Commonwealth, Eastern Standard Boston is a trendy restaurant/bar has a wonderful early 1900s French feel mixed with modern decor. Characterized by it plush red seating, its red and pink lighting throughout and its chandeliers and stylish hanging lights, Eastern Standard Boston has a very new, ritzy feel for a bar in this area of Boston.

My Opinion – Eastern Standard has a very classy, sophisticated vibe to it especially for the Fenway area. This is probably the result of being attached and part of a really nice hotel (Hotel Commonwealth.) The crowd is the typical hotel bar crowd mainly consisting of people with fatter wallets, hotel guests, businessmen, cougars and a few local hotties sprinkled in. The music isn’t too bad although they don’t have an actual DJ. Not a bad place to meet some people though if that is what you are looking to do.

The bartenders here are the best of any place in Boston hands down. I think this place was in Maxim or FHM’s list of best bars in America.

ESK is such a great and fun place. Best late night menu in the city and cocktails and bartenders are top notch.

The atmosphere is great (particularly in the summer), drinks are nicely prepared, and the service professional. Food also does not disappoint.
