Atmosphere – Part of the Hotel Commonwealth, Eastern Standard Boston is a trendy restaurant/bar has a wonderful early 1900s French feel mixed with modern decor. Characterized by it plush red seating, its red and pink lighting throughout and its chandeliers and stylish hanging lights, Eastern Standard Boston has a very new, ritzy feel for a bar in this area of Boston.

My Opinion – Eastern Standard has a very classy, sophisticated vibe to it especially for the Fenway area. This is probably the result of being attached and part of a really nice hotel (Hotel Commonwealth.) The crowd is the typical hotel bar crowd mainly consisting of people with fatter wallets, hotel guests, businessmen, cougars and a few local hotties sprinkled in. The music isn’t too bad although they don’t have an actual DJ. Not a bad place to meet some people though if that is what you are looking to do.
