Atmosphere – Island Creek Oyster Bar is a medium size venue with restaurant style seating on the left, a fully stocked bar on the right, low level lighting, open restaurant area in the back, aesthetically pleasing decorations. What makes this place really stand out is the wall in the back of the restaurant is covered in oyster shells. Island Creek Oyster Bar‘s silver and wood accents deliver a chic, new feeling throughout the establishment. This place opened very recently (fall 2010) so everything is brand new. The lighting and the awesome, ocean themed decor creates one of the coolest atmospheres of any place in Boston.

My Opinion – If you’re looking for a romantic and classy place to take someone on a date and enjoy some seafood Island Creek Oyster Bar is the place to be. What stands out the most about Island Creek Oyster Bar is how nice the inside is. The decor in this place is gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and the service was professional. You won’t have to worry about music being too loud, it’s certainly a place that accommadates those who want to get to know one another and have a conversation. The fully stocked bar does provide numerous options for those who have a sophisticated palate when it comes to alcohol. Be sure to try the oyster shooter when given the opportunity.
