Julep Bar Boston

The Scene – Nestled in the Financial District, Julep Bar Boston has been a premier nightclub/lounge since mid 2012. In the space that was once occupied by Revolution Rock Bar, ownership shut down, revamped and opened up a brand new place. The new feel is classy, understated and modern. The furniture and decor are nice but not over the top. The layout is fairly open and there are two floors, one being ground level and the other being below it. On the top floor, the stairs downstairs are to your immediate right when you walk in. All along the right wall is a VIP lounge area (great to rent out for bachelorette parties). Right past that is the DJ booth at the back right wall and straight ahead at the way back is the bathrooms. To the left when you enter is some more VIP seating and most of the left of Julep is dominated by the large bar that you will most likely be getting drinks at all night. Downstairs the layout is a bit smaller with another smaller bar right in front of you when you reach the bottom of the stairs. There is lounge-style seating all over the place surrounding the outer edges of this room. The top floor can get fairly crowded but with the open layout, people don’t tend to congregate too much in any one spot so you won’t feel claustrophobic as you might in some similar spots.
