Atmosphere – Rattlesnake Boston has a traditional bar setting, a little upscale (congruent to the Back Bay.) On the main floor there is a bar on the right wall when you walk in and small dance floor at the back with restaurant style seating throughout. The coolest part of the Rattlesnake Boston‘s atmosphere here is the roof deck (which you have to wait in line to get to usually) because it’s always nice on a summer night to be able to get outside and catch a breath of fresh air.

My Opinion – The Rattlesnake and Venom (which is what the roof deck area is called) as a whole is a really cool place. I’d say it fits right into the back bay scene for bars with its slightly more upscale feel than Faneuil or Fenway bars and usually has a slightly older and sliiightly more sophisticated crowd. I have no major gripes with the Rattlesnake, there’s nothing extravagant about it, I’d really just classify it as a bar with a small dance floor but it does have the roof deck which gives it major points in the DJ does play decent dancing music so overall a great place to check out.
